Jon Dawn

Jon Dawn

Principal

Jon founded Long Bridge Capital Management (LBCM) in 2019.  He serves as Chief Financial Officer and a member of the firm’s investment team. He has worked in corporate finance at Sterling Financial Corporation and wealth management at UBS. He is a Past President of CFA Society Spokane. He has served as an adjunct professor in the School of Business at Gonzaga University. Additionally, he holds a CPA license. Jon graduated from Gonzaga University, where he majored in accounting, and was a member of the Rugby Club.

William Lang

William Lang

Principal

William serves as LBCM’s Chief Investment Officer, Chief Compliance Officer and a member of the firm’s investment team. He has spent the past 20 + years helping high-net-worth and institutional clients navigate financial markets. William has experience in alternative investments, equity, and fixed income research and trading, economic analysis, portfolio management, business development, derivatives, financial planning, and investor education.

William has owned multiple investment management companies, where he has served as the CIO, portfolio manager, and equity research analyst for some of the largest pools of money in the United States. William graduated from Gonzaga University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance. He earned his CFA charter in 2003.

William is a past chairman of the Pacific Northwest Ski Association (PNSA) Youth Sports League (YSL) Alpine Division. He is a former ski racer and head of the YSL for Mt. Spokane Ski Racing Team (MSSRT). Billy takes great pride working with children to excel as ski racers and become productive young members of our community.

Bruce Van Cott

Bruce Van Cott

Principal

Bruce joined LBCM in 2024 as a Principal.  He has worked in wealth management at Northwestern Mutual and Country Financial. He is the founder and director of VanCapital, a real estate investment firm, and FV Contracting, a commercial construction company.  Bruce has been recognized as a top 20 under 40 professional by Spokane Coeur d’ Alene Magazine. Bruce graduated from Gonzaga University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Marketing and History, and was a member of the Crew Team.  Bruce coaches for the Spokane Legacy AAU woman’s basketball club, and enjoys golfing and hunting.

Steve Neff

Steve Neff

Principal

Steve serves as LBCM’s Director of Marketing and Client Service.  Steve has over 35 years of experience in the financial services industry. His experience includes partnership with three investment firms including one that he founded. During his 20-year tenure with these two firms, he assisted in raising over $3 billion in assets under management (AUM) and met with and supported hundreds of financial advisors and thousands of their clients.

Steve co-founded the Inland TechStart Fund (ITF) designed to help early-stage companies in Eastern Washington. He served on the ITF board and was managing member of the fund from 2013 to 2015. Mr. Neff has been an investor/owner in a wide variety of companies.

Steve serves on the loan committee for Ignite Northwest, a Spokane, Washington-based incubator. Mr. Neff also volunteers as a co-manager for Springboard, a regional organization that assists early-stage companies.  Mr. Neff has held several NASSA security licenses including Series 63 and Series 65 and earned a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) designation. He graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney with a BA in Business.

Jim Simmons

Jim Simmons

Director of Research

Jim serves as LBCM’s Director of Research and a member of the firm’s investment team. Jim’s extensive investment experience began in 1971 with Detroit Bank and Trust. Jim later moved to Spokane and worked in the investment trust department with Old National Bank. In 1981 Jim formed his own firm ICM Asset Management and over the next several decades grew the firm into the largest independent investment management firm in Spokane. Jim has presented at national conferences and is known for his numerous and timely commentary opinions. Jim previously served on the board of The Guild School, now called Joya.  Jim graduated from Michigan State in 1971, where he majored in economics. He earned his CFA charter in 1985.
